I wrote this song in fall 2008 while the power was out for a couple of days because of some crazy hurricane like weather that hit the east coast. I feel like I'd write a lot of better music all the time if I wasn't so distracted by the internet and media/television. This song sympathizes with homelessness and sort of came to life in the fact that for a while I wasn't sure where I would call my home and still struggle to. Originally meant to be strictly hip-hop/electronic like a Sublime song but also heavily influenced by Streetlight Manifesto, the White Stripes and a local band called The Frankl Project. Cool.
